Mobile Detailing Slow Bookings: A Past-Customer Rebooking Workflow

RepeatShine repeat revenue dashboard for mobile detailing customer rebooking and follow-up

When a mobile detailing calendar suddenly has gaps, the instinct is usually to look for more leads. That can help, but there is another list worth checking first: customers you already served.

The goal is not to message everyone. It is to identify the customers whose timing makes sense, contact them without pressure, and keep a record of what happens next.

1. Pull the last 6–12 months of completed jobs

Start with the information you already have: customer name, vehicle, service type, last service date, and ticket value. You do not need a complicated CRM to begin.

2. Estimate a sensible next-service date

Different services have different rhythms. A maintenance wash, interior detail, full detail, and coating follow-up should not all use the same interval. Use the interval you normally recommend and calculate a next due date.

3. Work due and overdue customers first

Sort the list by next due date. A short list of customers who are actually due is more useful than scrolling through every past job.

4. Send a low-pressure check-in

Keep the message personal. Mention the vehicle or the last service. Avoid fake urgency or a generic discount blast.

Example: “Hi [Name] — quick check-in on your [vehicle]. It’s been a while since the last [service], so I wanted to see if you’d like me to hold a spot for the next one. No pressure if the timing isn’t right.”

5. Record the outcome

Mark the result: rebooked, not now, no response, wrong timing, or needs follow-up. This is what turns a list into a repeatable daily workflow instead of starting from scratch every week.

What to track

  • Last service date and service type
  • Expected next-service date
  • Due / overdue / rebooked status
  • Last contact date and outcome
  • Booked date and expected ticket
